Who we are & What we do

Society of HIV Care Clinicians in Nigeria is non political and non partisan organization of cross professional HIV/AIDS care providers in Nigeria conceived with the sole purpose of advancing knowledge in HIV management to the benefit of patients. Headquartered in Abuja Nigeria with regional chapters, it is registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission of Nigeria.

Aims and Objectives

  • Support expertise in HIV care among SHCCIN members by developing and upholding standards in training and care
  • Fund, Undertake and support research leading to new knowledge in the field of HIV and related emerging infections
  • Generate, apply and disseminate knowledge in the treatment and prevention of HIV and related emerging infections
  • Advocate for the rights of people living with HIV and related emerging infections
  • Organize meetings, trainings, workshops and conferences on HIV and emerging infections
  • Publish periodicals that encourage and support research and new information in HIV medicine
  • Support and encourage members to compete for grants and funding for research
  • Act as an independent voice of interdisciplinary professionals working in the area of HIV medicine and care.
  • Undertake various activities and interactions required to solicit for and raise money in support of the activities of the organisation
